Membership Information

IMS aims to promote research, education, clinical studies, and workshops to improve prevention, diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of multiple myeloma and related disorders for patients worldwide. The International Myeloma Society is an organization that fosters scientific exchange and will be responsible for the final selection of the International Myeloma Workshops.

Membership Benefits

You are invited to become a member of the International Myeloma Society.

IMS membership entitles each individual to sponsor one abstract to each IMS Meeting. Other membership privileges and benefits include:

  • Sponsor abstract at the IMS Annual Meeting
  • A copy of the abstract and education book produced for the International Myeloma Workshop
  • Discounted registration fees at the IMS Annual Meeting and other IMS sponsored events
  • An effective voice for myeloma advocacy
  • Free online subscription to the journal Clinical Lymphoma, Myeloma & Leukemia
  • Eligible to be a candidate for Board of Directors, Subcommittee’s, Awards, Travel Grants, Host the IMW
  • Nomination and election process
  • Access to the slides from the Annual Meeting and other myeloma meetings

Dues

The dues will be $100 per year or $180 for a two year membership, and are used to support:

  • Future International Myeloma Workshops with a discounted registration fee for IMW and IMS sponsored events
  • Provide travel grants to the Workshops for young investigators
  • Support the Bart Barlogie and Ken Anderson awards

Members-in-Training and Associate Membership

  • Trainees may register as members-in-training for an annual $50 fee. Their membership will remain provisional until they submit a letter to IMS verifying their trainee status signed by a current IMS member on letterhead.
  • Associate Membership is available for industry and allied health professionals for a $50 annual fee.

Why Become a Member

The International Myeloma Society is a professional, scientific, and medical society established to bring together clinical and experimental scientists involved in the study of myeloma. The purpose of this society is to promote research, education, clinical studies (including diagnosis and treatment), workshops, conferences, and symposia on all aspects of multiple myeloma worldwide. The IMS is a membership organization comprised of basic research scientists, and clinical investigators in the field along with physicians and other healthcare practitioners.
