International Myeloma Society Opens Abstract Submissions for 23^rd Annual Meeting
Abstract submissions and registration now open for 23^rd IMS Annual Meeting, taking place September 23-26, 2026

 (Glasgow, Scotland) – March 27, 2026 – The International Myeloma Society (IMS) today announced that abstract submissions and registration are now open for the 23^rd IMS Annual Meeting, taking place September 23 – 26, 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland. Leaders, academics, clinicians, and investigators from around the world are invited to submit abstracts highlighting new discoveries, clinical advances, and emerging approaches in the study and treatment of multiple myeloma, while attendees can now also register to participate in this year’s meeting. The deadline for abstract submissions is May 31, 2026. Late-breaking abstract (LBA) submissions will open beginning in July 2026, with additional details to be announced.

Selected abstracts will be presented to an anticipated audience of more than 3,000 global leaders in myeloma research and clinical care representing over 75 countries – one of the largest global gatherings dedicated exclusively to this field.

“As the field of myeloma continues to evolve at a rapid pace, the progress seen over the past year is a testament to the strength of global research and collaboration,” said Professor Philippe Moreau, MD, President of the International Myeloma Society. “We look forward to the continued advancements that will be shared at this year’s Annual Meeting, and the impact they will have on improving outcomes for patients worldwide.”

The three-and-a-half day meeting features a single-track format, an uncommon approach for a global conference of this scale, allowing attendees to experience the full scientific program together. This structure creates a shared dialogue across the global myeloma community and ensures presenters engage the entire audience.

Researchers interested in presenting their work at the meeting are encouraged to submit abstracts related to basic science, translational research, clinical trials, and advances in patient care for multiple myeloma and related plasma cell disorders.

This year’s abstract categories include:

• Cellular and T cell engager Immunotherapy (real life studies and sequencing)
• MRD and Biomarkers
• Myeloma Genomics and Microenvironment and immune profiling
• Myeloma Novel Drug Targets and agents
• Plasma Cell precursor and Other Disorders
• Imaging, QoL and Patient-Reported Outcome and Supportive Care
• Treatment of Newly Diagnosed Myeloma
• Treatment of Relapsed/Refractory Myeloma

To encourage broad global participation, building on past meetings that have welcomed attendees from more than 75 countries, Annual Meeting registration fees are set at $100 USD for trainees and attendees from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), with registration now open to all prospective attendees. Applicants may also indicate their interest in being considered for a Young Investigator Award, to offset travel costs, when submitting their abstract.
